Just a quick post to check in. So much has been going on!!! It's been really nice actually :)
Louis and I are both doing really well. Busy as ever! My new position is keeping me hopping and on the go. It's been hectic but the days fly by and that is always a huge plus, especially when you work at the very least a 13 hour day, more often than not though, a 14 hour day. I only do it Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday though. It's really nice having weekends off with a day in the middle to do my chores- cleaning, groceries, appointments. That boring adult nonsense :) I also volunteer in Bella's classroom every Wednesday working on the kids reading fluency testing. It is right before lunch so I of course stay and hang out with them at lunch. I'm sure the days are waning and soon they will not want me there, but for now, they like it and so do I. :)
Louis has been just as busy as ever at work. Nothing new there! His 40th!!!! Birthday is December 1, and first we were going to try to go somewhere but it just didn't work out. I can't get the time off work because it's so close to Thanksgiving and tons of people are gone, the wedding, and all sorts of other jazz, SO, I decided to drag it out. He has been getting a present a day since 10/23, and he will continue to receive one present a day until his birthday... Getting 40 presents in 40 days. Let me tell you- A) he is having a blast and it went over even better than I thought, B)it is soooo hard to figure out 40 presents for someone!!! At least an adult someone!
He has been working frantically on my robin costume and it looks absolutely amazing. I'm so fortunate to have not only a fantastically smart, funny and oh so handsome lover, but also one who is so talented! I can't wait to wear that puppy! The girls are all super ready for Halloween. Rachel is a raccoon, Bella was cat woman and then a dead soccer player- I'm not sure which she'll be for Halloween, and Zoë is a mermaid. They had their Halloween parties at school and the monster mash and now they're just waiting for the big hoorah.
We have our engagement pictures today out in Oregon. Hopefully it doesn't rain!! I'm really excited to see these. The photographer has access to some private property that sounds perfect. Should be fun.
We are having our annual turkey day fat fest at our house this year....a week early. The girls are going to Tahoe over Thanksgiving with their dad so we're going to do it the weekend before so we can have all three of them together.
I'm so excited!!!
In two short weeks Bella, Zoë and I are hitting the road for a girls only shopping trip to Portland! We have booked our hotel, staked out the stores and places we wanna hit, chosen some restaurants we would like to eat at, squeezed voodoo donuts in as well as a trip to OMSI complete with a submarine tour and planetarium show. Portland better watch out!! :) The girls are stoked and so am I. I think it will be really nice to have just a girls trip.

Bella and zoë got some big news last Thursday. My parents are taking them to Florida over spring break. They have a condo in Daytona Beach, so that will be the home base, but Orlando is only just a about an hour away so Disney World is on the the list, probably Epcot as well. they will go down to St.Augustine, which was and always will be one of my favorite places ever, and then of course, what trip to Florida would be complete without taking Zoe over to CMA so see Winter and Hope and the rest of the gang from the Dolphin Tale movies?!?! Zoë bawled when she found out. She was so excited!! Bella was more excited about Disney world, but they're both so ready!
We have their parent teacher conferences tomorrow night. Hopefully all goes well. I know zoë likes to talk and b bop has been struggling in math a bit, but I know they've both been really trying hard abs focusing all their attention. I'm sure all will be fine.
really that pretty much sums up our last month or two!
