We had to put our sweet girl, Mazzy, to rest on November 3.
It was probably one of the hardest things we have ever had to do.
She was sick, and starting losing weight and bladder control about 3 weeks prior.
Her spirits were good and she continued to eat and play, and even though we knew it was getting close, we gave her time.
Finally, the evening of 11/2, she stopped eating and was unable to keep any water down, and we knew, at that point, it was time.
The next day we called an in-home pet euthanasia service. They were able to come at 3 that afternoon.
We made her a bed, we fed her ( or at least offered her) anything and everything to eat you could imagine, and hung out with her.
When it was time, we laid with her, loved her and hugged her as she breather her last breath.
Her soul is with us forever, and we will spread her ashes in all of her favorite places.
We had a necklace made and some of her ashes put in that, so no matter where we go- she will come too!
