Today Louis and I went to my breast augmentation consultation and met my doctor for the first time. I have chosen to go with Dr.Sorensen here in Boise. We tossed around the idea of traveling to get them done, but after a little research, we decided staying home was a better idea- it's better to be close to the surgeon if there are any complications that need to be addressed.
The appointment took about an hour. We started by talking with the doctor about all the options and processes first and then went into the exam room to start 'sizing'. First they measure you and take pictures and then they put you in basically a nursing bra and have different size implants that they put in so that you can see what the different sizes look like.
It is my birthday present so I have to wait until then to get them done, but Louis has decided to take pity on me and let me get them done in time so that I'm done with the surgery and the healing process is over by my birthday. Who wants to feel icky on their 30th birthday?? We scheduled my surgery for the first of April. It's just an outpatient procedure that takes between one to one and a half hours to complete. I'm the first one in the operating room at a bright and early 6:15 am......crazy to think that on that day I'll wake up and before I would even start work at 8, I'm gonna be done.
Now the hard part is on- the wait!! I will go back in March for my pre-op appointment, but until then, it's just gonna be in my dreams. :)
