So after a bit of discussion, Louis and I have both decided we are going to go vegetarian-again. He was vegetarian for about ten years when he was with his first wife, and I have been vegetarian before several times, I've just never lasted more than about three months. I'm a sucker for a good piece of prime rib and I love me some bacon. My problem is that in order to eat animals, you have to kill them, that is my problem...not the taste. I honestly don't have a problem with people eating meat, its just not for me, or us, I guess at this point. Rachel, Louis' daughter is vegetarian, she has never had a piece of meat in her life. I'm not going to go extreme- milk, eggs, cheese, butter and things like that. I don't even really have a problem with eating marshmallows or jello, things with gelatin. I am mostly focused on not eating meat, meat broths, etc.
It's nice because there are so many options these days. There is a company called Morning Star Farms and they make all sorts of meat substitution products. Most, if not all soy based, but they have crumbles that are used in place of ground beef and you cant' even tell the difference especially once you put them in something like spaghetti, tacos, sloppy joes. They also have "chicken" nuggets and patties, riblets, veggie burgers and stuff. Louis really likes a product by the name of Quorn, you can find it at whole foods. It does not contain any soy, which is good, too much soy isn't good for you either, so it's nice to have a few different products to chose from. It's nice because the Morningstar farms is a bit cheaper and can be found basically everywhere- even ghetto Wal-Mart has Morningstar Farms products....( on a side note here..I can proudly say I haven't stepped foot in a walmart in literally almost 2 years!!!)
Anyways, we are on day three here and feeling great. I've literally gone down almost 5 pounds in three days. I guess that's what happens when you live on fast food, and stop eating grease for every meal!!!

Battin' dem lashes
*took the pic off....my address was totally just right out there. I have no interest in some weirdo knowing where I live*
My Latisse came in the mail the other day. I'm so excited. I've been waiting for it. My eye lashes aren't really that bad- I've never really had any issues with them or had the desire to wear fake lashes or anything, but when the opportunity came to get some Latisse, I jumped on it. My aunt also uses it and loves it. Latisse is a medication that was originally used to treat either cataracts or glaucoma, I can't remember which, but they noticed that one of the side effects of the medication was that people's eyelashes were growing like crazy. They were getting super long AND thick'n'full....sounds like something I wanted!! ;) It just so happened that when I got my boob job, one of the promotions they were doing was either free Latisse or free Botox. Apparently they're all made by the same manufacturer, and they're all about getting women hooked on lookin' pretty! :) I chose the Latisse, really I'm just not that interested in Botox. I'm sure the day will come that I am...quite clearly I have no qualms....what so ever, about having things like that done. Why not?? BUT, not right now. The cool thing was not only did I get some Latisse, but they also let me choose one friend and she got a free set as well. Lucky girl!!

Couches Smouches
We finally got a free minute yesterday afternoon to take a look at some couches. We didn't have a ton of time and didn't want to go all the way out to Meridian, so we went to Mor, one of the places that was on the list to check out. We walked around and the salesman took us to a set called Naples. It was a nice chocolate brown with nail head trim. We sat on it and it was very comfortable. We were basically instantly sold. As we were walking around a little bit more the saleman pointed us to a chair. It was very similar to the set we were looking at, but WAAAAYY more comfortable, and about 400 cheaper for the set. We were sold at that point. I am checking on the quality of it, wanna make sure it holds up after a few years, and as long as it does, I'm sold. I make decisions very quickly and once I like something it's done. I do not feel the need to go around to all the other stores and find more sets and add more kinks to the plan. I like this set, I like the color, I think it's classic and will not go out of style and it is comfortable and the price is right-why go elsewhere?? I'm checking with someone who owns some furniture from Mor on how it is holding up, as long as the reports are good it's on!! I think the smart thing is going to be to wait to Memorial Day when they put basically everything on sale....but that's only in like a week and the salesman said they have a few sets in stock in the warehouse so it shouldn't take FOREVER to get here. Hopefully it all works out, but I'm not getting too excited quite yet!

Mother's Day
We still haven't been to look at furniture. Things have been absolutely CRAZY around here lately as I'm sure you all know and have heard. It should slow down within the next few weeks and will hopefully get back on track and get to the furniture store. I wound up working on Mother's Day so we celebrated our day on Saturday. The girls brought me breakfast in bed. Too sweet. We went to the mall and I got a new outfit...of course. I've been buying clothes like crazy! After the mall we went to Olive Garden and grabbed some lunch. Then it was time to head over to nana and papa's house to celebrate with them. Since I had to work on Mother's Day, they decided to head for the coast that day, so it worked out perfectly for us to celebrate Saturday. I made her dinner: pesto chicken, rice pilaf, roasted asparagus, salad, bread and a buttermilk lemon blueberry cake with white chocolate cream cheese frosting....um yea...delicious!!! The girls gave nana their gift, they got her a 1/4 carat pair of diamond stud earrings. She had been looking at a couple of sets for a month or two so the girls decided to just go ahead and get her a set- at least that way we know she's going to like what we got her!!
On Sunday, the girls went with thier dad to visit his grandma in Mountain Home. While I was at work. my lover brought me flowers and a card, cards from each of the girls and a small gift- a gym membership to Johnny's Fit Club, only about 1/2 a mile from our house. I've been wanting one and actually tried to sign up twice online but it wouldn't process my credit card, it just kept spinning so I cancelled it with the intention of just going up there and signing up, but he beat me to it. All in all both days were great. Im thankful for all the little ladies in my life that I get the privilege of being their mother/ mother figure and for all the wonderful mothers in MY life that have set the standards so high. I love you guys!!

Mother's Day Decisions
I am getting new furniture for Mother's Day. I've been looking around at various places on-line and think we have narrowed it down to leather versus upholstery. I have seen a few different couch sets that I like, but Im not sure of the quality they have at places like RC Willey, Ashley, Mor...etc. I am going to go and check them out, but I also have my eye on a set at Ethan Allen. Obviously the sets are quite a bit more expensive at Ethan Allen, but the quality may be far superior. I haven't been and actually sat on any of these, so hopefully tomorrow that is what we are going to do. It may completely change my mind by sitting on them or seeing them in person. I'm excited and ready to get a nice set. It's time. I have NEVER buckled down and just shelled out the several grand to do it, I never thought it was a good idea with little people with sticky fingers and faces, and spillable drinks and stuff to get a super nice set. I dont wanna have to kill one of 'em 'cuz they ruined my couch!! :) Anyways, now that our youngest one is over six and quite old enough to know better, I feel fairly confidant that we can get this done! :) Here's to happy shopping!! :)
