Taste Test

Friday evening our caterer came to our house and dropped off the food for our taste test. Let me just say, it was all spectacular, and to narrow our choices down was difficult. However, we hemmed and we hawed and we finally settled on our final wedding menu....

Catering

We finally settled on our caterer and met with her yesterday...and now the fun part begins!  The sampling!! :) We are going to try several dishes and then narrow down the selection. We have mostly narrowed it down to just a few choices. Here is what we have so far:

• chicken- we are going to sample bruschetta chicken and artichoke chicken, and choose one
• beef- we are going to sample pepper herb beef and burgundy mushroom beef, and choose one
• potato- we have settled on roasted red potatoes
• vegetable- we are going to sample parmesan broccoli and garlic vegetables, and choose one
• salad- we are going to try strawberry gouda, spinach bacon and avocado salad, Caesar, and a pasta. We will choose 2
• assorted breads and rolls with honey butter and whipped butter
• sodas, lemonades, tea, ice water- the alcohol will be handled elsewhere.

We got our rough estimate sent back to us yesterday so now we need to set up our tasting. Woohoo! Once we get our menu finalized I will let you all know what's decided!!

Wedding Photographer

Louis and I met with our photographer yesterday.  It went really well. There is a main lady and then one other one and they do phenomenal work. They're out of Oregon so they will have to do a little bit of traveling to get here, but she is well worth it. I am so excited to work with her. We went ahead and also booked an engagement shoot this October with her so we can kinda get to know each other and how we work together. She has access to some private property with barns, streams, and all sorts of other great rustic fall-ish type setting ideas. Now the hard part is trying to figure out what to wear. I think Im going to do two outfit changes- one dressier, like a gauze type dress with a jean cropped jacket and a scarf or multilayer turquoise necklace, and then one a little more casual- jeans, boots, sweater, scarf. Haha....reading that I literally just laughed...sounds like I have it figured out...no need figure out what I am going to wear...gotta Louis figured out though I guess! It feels good getting that done though. It is probably going to be our biggest expense shy of the honeymoon.
