B Ballin' in Basketball

I couldn't help myself....with the title of the post....I think I'm clever :) Well, say it three times fast and you've got the tongue twister!

Bella has always been in one sport or another for almost her entire life. We started her first with swimming and then soccer and then basketball.

She did competitive soccer a year ago and hated it.  They made it way too intense. They were treating these 9 year old girls like they were training for the Olympics..like to the point of thinking soccer took precedence over school....ugh, no, I don't think so. Anyways, when she decided she didnt want to do that anymore but wanted to focus her energies on basketball I was A ok with that!

So this year we are doing competitive basketball.  She has always played Y ball before so this is now the AAU league which you try out for and are placed on teams according to the high school you will attend and skill level.  These AAU teams are considered "feeder teams" into the high school teams and once on a team that is where you stay up until high school ball.

Bella tried out and was fortunate enough to be invited to the VARSITY Boise High Braves team!!! YAY! Go BELLA!! This is such an honor in so many ways, but namely the coach- is probably hands down one of the best in the valley, and that is no joke. Second, the Boise high team is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best, if not the best, in the valley for high school ball and they do not choose just anyone to be on this team. We are super proud of her and she is really raising to the challenge.  She is working hard and putting in lots of effort and is doing awesome.  AND one more shout out to the Boise High Varsity AAU girls fifth grade team....at this point we are ranked NUMBER ONE in the valley and are UNDEFEATED!! Go Braves!!!!!

Here are a few pictures from her first couple games and a couple random shots from her coach.

p.s. I'll apologize now for the quality of the majority of the pictures.  They are taken with my phone, which is an iphone 7, so it has a decent camera, but between the action shots ;) and my lame photo abilities and being cropped to zoom in to see B better....the results may leave a little to be desired in photo quality
some of the team after practice. Adriana, Jenna and Paige are missing.

This is the whole team. All ten of them! Back Row: Natalie, Adriana, Jillian,Grayson, Maddie. Front Row: Bella, Paige, Adrienne, Jenna and Allie

Bella looks perplexed over something....he was handing out their shorts so who knows what she was thinking about!

Bella is number14

goin' in for the shot with her coach watching her every move.

game time!

Bella is not very big. As a matter of fact, she is almost always the smallest on the court, but this kid is FAST and has a hell of a shot if I do say so myself

here she is shooting free throws. Sunk em' both!

2017 Photo Dump II

We decided to have some breakfast at IHOP one of the SEVERAL snow days we've had here recently.  Sometimes getting a smile outta Bella is like pulling teeth...

Zo on the other hand, is a ham....always wants to be in the camera!

Clearly Zoe had a rough night!

Zo hanging out and drawing

This was her creation....made my heart melt!

Oreo, regular and graham cracker covered marshmallows for at chocolate fondue at home.  I found a recipe online for copy cat Melting Pot marshmallows- super easy and delicious! Just pulse Oreos or graham crackers in food processor until super fine, place in dish and roll marshmallows in water and then in crumbs.voila..that easy!

Maz loves going with me to take the girls to school. :)

I got an email with a tracking number of a package coming from England...I was like huh?!?!... Then I ask Louis and he had bought me some Hunter boots!!!!  I'd mentioned to him that I was  thinking about getting some with all the snow and grossness outside and he just smiled and said OK like he always does when I'm telling him what it is I'm about to buy, but I didn't think he was paying close enough attention to really go and order me some! He also ordered me some warm sock from amazon...I love amazon! Cheers to the best husband ever and to warm and dry feet!!

We went to Grinkers one cold and lame Thursday evening!

I saw this at Winco I think and immediately thought of Bella!!
