It's been FOREVER since I've done an actual update and let y'all in on what we were all up to in our lives. I know these posts aren't as exciting as picture posts, but that's ok.
Louis and I don't have a ton to report. We finally bit the bullet and bought a new car. We just have to wait for it now, it lives in Georgia right now, and should be here in 10-14 days. We needed a bigger car, an SUV with three rows, so that limited our options, but we were able to find a really great deal on a 2019 from a dealership trying to get rid of them to make room for all their 2020's. It's fully loaded with leather seats, top of the line safety features, a sunroof and even a premium sound system so I'm pretty excited. I've never owned a brand new car or an SUV, so it's really gonna be a change. We kept my car- we have three daughters, all of whom will be driving within the next few years, and we just put almost $2500.00 into it, getting all sorts of things done, so that bad boy should run for another 100k at least.
I got a job. I love Fred Meyer, so I thought, may as well work there. The employee discount and the fact you get paid weekly are awesome. I only work about 12 hours a week, and I really enjoy getting out of the house for just a few hours a couple days a week. Louis' job is flexible and he works from home whenever he wants, so that cuts out our need for any childcare, plus my mom and sister are always happy to jump in for baby duty when needed. Obviously, I'm not getting rich, but it does pay for the new car's payment with a bit leftover for savings, so ya cant complain about that!
We are hoping to go to California in a month or so to visit Louis' parents, but dont have any dates nailed down yet, but we are looking forward to that. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot to report with us.
Rachel is a freshman at Centennial high and is doing really well. She plays violin for the school orchestra and has moved to the first chair in orchestra so that is a HUGE accomplishment. She is still playing piano as well- so much talent. She got braces put on a few months ago and so far her teeth are looking great. She got her first job! She works a few hours a week at the montessori school she went to when she was a wee tyke. She is still on honor roll and receives awards for her academics regularly- she has never received a B in her life....no joke. So proud of this girl!
Bella is doing awesome as well. She is in the 8th grade and still goes to school in the north end. She loves it and has tried a variety of new sports and activities including wrestling, volleyball, and guitar. She is still in jiujitsu and is about to move up to a new belt which is quite an achievement in jiujitsu-it takes years per belt. She skis up at Bogus almost every weekend and will be taking a course next weekend in outdoor survival in the event she ever gets in a situation on the ski mountain....you just never know with B Bop..she's our wild child! :) Her 14th birthday is on the 14th and she is so excited.
Zoe is rocking her last year in elementary school...6th grade, it's hard to believe! She is still riding horses every week and has a horse show coming up in May. She has graduated from her little pony Lacy to an actual regular horse named Hershey. She absolutely loves horseback riding! She is in her 3rd year playing violin and is getting pretty darn good. Her little violin is so cute! You have to understand...Z is TINY, she only wears a size 8 and she's 12, so her violin is literally the size of an 8 year olds and has to be the cutest thing ever. She also recently joined a swim team through BSU. She had her 12th birthday a few weeks ago and got braces put on.
Bella and Zoe are proud to announce they will be welcoming a new baby sister to their family in June. Their dad and step-mom are expecting. How exciting for them!! They are also excited to let everyone know they will once again be spending three weeks in England this summer with family. Whew...what an exciting few months!
Tatum is awesome as ever. Little fat man weighs in at 23.5 pounds and is 10 months old. He is getting pretty close to crawling around, but seems to lack the motivation to actually do it. We think it has nothing to do with ability, just simply the fact that he is the most content child I've ever seen, so if something is out of his reach...that's ok, he'll just play with something he can reach, or fiddle with his hands or feet or even his belly button if nothing is in reach. He's cute as a bug and babbles, coos and laughs all the time. He loves taking tubbies in the sink and we haven't met a food yet that this kid doesn't like. His favorite thing is to walk around stores riding in carts...he is the biggest flirt around!
