Let them eat CAKE......

 As I mentioned, I've been getting back into a little cake making and decorating.  I'm by no means a professional, but I do enjoy playing around with it a little bit....the downside...I dont eat cake....so I make them and give them away....I guess that's better than sitting and eating a whole cake....dont get me started on pizza or fries however...i can truly embarrass myself eating that stuff!

I definitely need to continue to work on my skills, namely the ganache and the smoothing of the cakes, but as I said, its just something I kinda enjoy doing!

Anyways, here are a few I did the last couple weeks or so-

Red Velvet Cheesecake Cake: 2 layers of red velvet cake, middle layer is cheesecake, topped with a whipped cream cheese buttercream and red ganache.

Cannoli Cake: Triple layers of vanilla cake, filled with a chocolate chip marscapone and topped with a light cinnamon whipped cream. Serbian hazelnut wafer cookies surround the cake with a milk chocolate ganache.

Reeses Peanut butter Cake:This sad looking little guy was actually prettier in other pictures and tasted awesome I guess.  It was for my dads birthday.  Triple layers of dark chocolate cake, filled and iced with creamy peanut butter frosting and a nice thick layer of chopped reeses peanut butter cups in the middle.  There is a thick fudgey ganache on top that I completely didnt thin out enough so it looks like l just splattered fudge on...
