Life Changes

As most, if not all of you know by now, Louis was diagnosed with Grade IV brain cancer in July.  He had a seizure while driving and as a result, they found a walnut size glioblastoma behind his eye as well as another smaller one forming in the back of his brain.  He had the one behind his eye removed and underwent a six week round of chemo and radiation.

He has been having ongoing care at St. Lukes Cancer Center and they have presented him at the Tumor Board twice.

He had another seizure a few weeks ago and was admitted to St.Lukes DT for three days.  He is now home, but has been admitted into the TBI clinic at Elks Rehab.

After his last scan it looks like there's another tumor forming and they think that led to this last seizure.  They plan on doing another scan in about 4 more weeks to see how it looks and whether they are going to go back in and do another brain surgery.

When he first got his diagnosis, I immediately quit my job to stay home and take care of him.  After a few months my anxiety and stress were through the room so I went back to work a few days a week to get out of the house.  My mom goes in and stays with him and helps get him around to different appointments and stuff.

As we get deeper in to this journey, I will keep you all updated with what is going on.  Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
