Six Weeks
On Tuesday I will be down to just six weeks for my surgery. It is coming up quick!! I have my time off approved. I have my pre-op appointment scheduled and ready and everything else is in place. Six weeks will fly by with as busy as its going to be- doctor appointments, birthday parties, all sorts of stuff. As time gets closer I will keep you all updated on the process, but we are marching forward!!
Valentine's Day
Happy Lover's Day!!!! We hope you all got at least a little bit of sugar from the one you love! We didn't do anything this year, mainly just because we just got back from Utah where we basically celebrated, plus we had Bella and Zoe and wanted to hang out with them.
All three of the girls all got spoiled with Valentine's from everyone! Grandma and Grandpa P sent a package with all sorts of goodies in it for everyone. Nana and papa got them something, we got them each a goody bag full of stuff, the girls' dad got them something and I'm sure Rachel's mother got her something as well. It looked like Christmas. Ridiculous actually, but hey, at least they know they're loved and thought about I guess.
Here are a few pictures from the festivities:

Bella wanted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cards. We also attached those to some candy. They took them to school and passed them all out for their classmates for a candy filled sugar high rush. |

I baked three dozen heart shaped sugar cookies for Bella's class party. They used them for some decorating activity at the school. |

We opted to stay in Friday night. We didn't want ot fight the crowds, so we stayed in a made cheese fondue for dinner and chocolate fondue for dessert. Yummy!! |

Utah
We made it home safely from our trip to Provo on Friday. We had a really nice time. It was just the two of us, so it was nice for some down time.
We drove down on Wednesday. We made it to Salt Lake around 5:30 or so, so we stopped and met Louis' sister Leslie and her three daughters for dinner. After dinner we headed to Provo and got checked into the hotel. Since he was there on business we had a really nice room at the marriott with concierge lounge services and stuff, so we went up there and had dessert and tea and then went back down to the room. He had a meeting with some people that evening around 8:30. I stayed in the hotel room of course and wound up falling asleep before he made it back to the room at ten.
In the morning we woke up and had some breakfast and then Louis had to boogie out to go to his main meeting with the head of electricity for the City of Provo. The meeting was over around two, but while he was gone I took the much needed down time to literally do nothing. I layed in bed and watched the Food Network, took two showers, had some snacks, crocheted a little bit, and thats about it. By the time I had taken my last shower and cleaned myself up a bit, he was back and we headed out.
We started back in towards Salt Lake but he HAD to stop at Ikea first. I love, love, love Ikea and any time we go somewhere they have one, it is always on our list of places to go. We wandered through and had fun. It's always neat to see all the rooms set-up and things you can do....and for so cheap. I would be in serious trouble if we lived closer to one. :) Anyways, we wandered through about 90% of it when I had finally had enough. I was getting dizzy and had a headache and I needed to eat.
My co-worker, Jon, recommended this Mexican place called The Red Iguana, and it was amazing. We made it there about 10 minutes to five thinking that we'd beat any crowds....not so lucky. They were packed, but we got a seat in a little secluded nook where it was just the two of us.They specialize in making about 10 different kinds of mole sauce and they bring samples of them out on a little saucer for you to try. Louis wound up getting mango enchiladas. They had pork in them and a mango mole sauce. Super good. Unique. I had a shredded beef enchilada and it was super good as well. We would both highly recommend it to anyone heading that direction anytime in the near future.
After dinner we went back to our room, got dessert and hung out together for the rest of the evening. It was so, so nice to be able to lay around with him without having to get up and he;lp the girls with something, make dinner, do laundry, let the dogs out and all that kind of fun stuff that goes along with the daily territory....not that I mind!
Friday we headed home, but not before one more trip to Ikea to actual purchase some stuff I didn't have to patience to do the day before. After our mad dash shopping spree, we made a stop at In-N-Out burger YUMMY!!!, and headed home. The roads were bad around Snowville, but cleared up a bit once we crossed the state line.
It was a fun little get away and was nice to rejuvenate with just my lover and me! :)

Post Update
So, I've been working on an actual post for about a week now, but have been unable to get it done. I figured that since I was at work for about 13 some odd hours today, that today was the day that I was going to slowly hen peck something out to post- we've had some interesting goin' ons in our lives lately. Some AWESOME and some not so awesome.
Louis has been busier than ever at work. They lost two employees recently so that means more work for Louis, but it has also meant a new page in the book for him. After losing the other employees, his employer approached him and told him they couldn't afford to lose him and how much money was it going to take to ensure they kept him. He didn't plan on going anywhere anyways, but it was a pleasant suprise. The numbers haven't been worked exactly out but they know a roughish figure and his raise is close to half of what I make in an entire year, plus he gets a bonus in March thats fairly hefty as well. He works very hard and is extremely good at what he does. I'm very proud of him. He deserves it, and it's nice that he works for a company that not only recognizes it, but also rewards it.
On Wednesday he has to go to Provo, UT for a quick business meeting and I've decided that I'm going to go with him. I'm not overly interested in Provo itself, but it will be fun to just go on a quick little trip with just him.
Last Wednesday I broke my hand. It's a long, long story how it happened, but suffice it to say it was stupid and I'm now paying for it...with a boxers fracture. Lovely.
On Tuesday, I'm only 8 weeks out for my surgery. Coming close. I've already dealt mostly with the nerves and now I'm getting anxious. It's getting close. I will admit though....I've already started a wish list of shirts for afterwards. I haven't bought anything yet because we're not sure exactly how big they'll be after they 'settle' and most of these shirts you buy the size based on the bust measurement. It will be the first time in my life I've ever bought anything with a 'large' tag on it for myself. eek!!
We bought tickets to go see The Glitch Mob at the knitting factory on the 29th of April. We are excited, should be a good show, plus we leave for Vegas the following morning for five days. Also super excited about that. :)
Did my taxes and got all that nonsense done. I always have the maximum amount deducted throughout the year so that I get a larger refund. We were thinking about going somewhere with some of it since we didn't plan on that money anyways. I was thinking NYC or Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, but I think Louis is thinking something cheaper and closer...there's big things coming up that that money could be better used for....we will see though... ;)
Girls are both doing good. Bella is in basketball and skiing. Loving both. Zoe is in figure skating lessons. She is hating them. :) Chunkster hates physical activity. That girls just wants to eat bread with lots of butter on it and play on her tablet. Ha. B Bop is the exact opposite though..can't get her to sit still. There's a big change in thier little lives coming up too....they will be changing schools come summer time. They will be moved to a school over on Warm Springs. They are both super excited about it. They are also going on a super fun trip down to San Diego for a week this summer with nana and papa. They're flying so they're both super stoked about that and that's all we've heard about for weeks. Birthdays are coming up in March, also smoething we've heard a ton about!!
Other 'n' that, nothing too impressive is happening. Just hangin out and waiting for the warmer weather!!

Basketball
Bella had her first basketball game on Saturday. She rocked. She, hands down, was the best little player on the team. She scored the most points, had no fouls, and was an all around fantastic player. I am so, so, so proud of her! Here are a few fuzzy phone pics!
