Oregon Coast III- Aquarium in Newport

Thursday night Rachel's grandparent's dropped her off, so we were excited to get to hang out with her for a few days and have some fun at the coast. We woke up Friday morning and headed to beach to do a little sand dollar hunting. Zoe had success- I think that kid has x-ray vision. Anyways, after the beach we headed over to a brew pub and had some lunch with everyone and then drove about an hour into Newport to go to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. It was fantastic. We all loved it. They had seals, otters, an octopus, and all sorts of other really cool exhibits. If you find yourself over in that neck of the woods we all highly recommend it, especially if you have kids.

Finally at the aquarium, me and the girls looking at seals

There was an octopus in this tank- it's in the back corner. They are quite the creature. I can't believe people eat them..ick

This fish was swimming around with one eye. It was chilling right by the front of the tank.

They had the best kids area. This was a little cannery type set up with a fish market. They loved loved LOVED this area.
