Praline Crunch

A sweet trail mix type stuff that my MIL makes at Christmas time. I really like this stuff. I make just as is, but I'm sure you could not use the pecans, switch out for another nut, or omit all together, and I'm sure it would be divine with several various additions!

Ingredients:
8 cups Oatmeal Quakers Oats cereal, any flavor is fine but I like the brown sugar the best :)
1-2 cups chopped pecans
1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c light corn syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Heat oven to 250 degrees.  Spray 13 x 9 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.  Combine cereal and pecans
in pan.  set aside

in 4 cup microwavable bowl, combine corn syrup, butter and brown sugar on.  Microwave on high 1 minute 30 seconds.
Stir.  Microwave 30 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds or until boiling.

Stir vanilla and baking soda into mixture.  Pour over cereal mixture; stir to coat evenly.

Bake 1 hour stirring every 20 minutes.  Spread on baking sheet and cool completely (although it is really tasty
warm); break into pieces.  Store tightly covered.
