Father's Day 2017

Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful daddy-o's out there!  What a tough job you guys have!!
Hope you all had a wonderful day spending time with those men in your lives that mean the most to you, whomever they may be.

Louis got home from Raleigh on Thursday so we picked him up at the airport and then went and got Rachel and had some lunch.  Louie's... where else?!?! ;)

On Friday we made fruit pizza for 'breakfast'

Saturday was the day we spent our day honoring specifically Louis.  We went out to breakfast at, you guessed it... IHOP, and yup, awesome as usual! :)  Then we did some shopping.  He needed some gear to geek out his man cave.

Then we came home and hung out.  He went over to his friend's house for a bit and we all just chilled.  Then I made him the dinner of his choosing.  After we ate, he set up the movie of his choice for a family movie.....Who Framed Roger Rabbit! :)

On Sunday, Bella and Zoe spent the afternoon with their dad while Rachel and I took Louis out to lunch.  After that we all met up back at my parents house and had a BBQ with the girls and their dad and my dad! :)

This MAY be IT!

So I found a house.  One I love.  I'm so into the farmhouse look- I love the cozy, comfortable feel.  I love it in the 'bones' of the house as well as the decor.  As many of you know, I am frantically collecting, making and finding farmhouse decor for our new home as we speak.  I will post some pics of what I've gathered so far soon.

With the house we are having a hard time finding one that is not so big.  Most people want HUGE houses. I do not.  A smaller, nicer house is exactly what Im looking for.  We don't NEED a big house. Then you have you have to heat and cool it, furnish it and my goodness---CLEAN IT!! Small and cozy is just right!! Louis may take some convincing!

This guy is under construction and I can't wait to see it when it is done.  The builder builds beautiful homes and the neighborhoods he builds in are exactly where we would want to be!!

I love the fact that other than a coat of paint, it is almost exactly my personal tastes and within budget, which is nice- to not have to do much work to it.

We've tossed around buying a bit older home, cheaper and just upgrading a bit, but once again, we're having a hard time finding one that isn't 2500 sq feet.

So without further ado- here is the house.

  • BEDROOMS3
  • BATHROOMS2.00
  • SQUARE FOOTAGE1,718
  • ACRES0.11
  • YEAR BUILT2017

A drawing of the outside- this is the builders newest floor plan.

Ahh-the kitchen.  What a beautiful kitchen. Exactly what I want- white cupboards, beautiful dark wood floors, natural taupe brick back splash, gourmet upgrades throughout! And please do not fail to notice one of MY favorite features- the sliding barn door in the hall!!

Nice and open and airy!

I love how open it is- kitchen/dining room/living room all open and together.

I love the custom build in's and the wood paneling above the fireplace.

So many beautiful little touches!

Large, functional laundry room

I love the fact they build a mirror in!
