Louis and I decided to head to Seattle last weekend for a long weekend trip, just the two of us...and the dog. :) We decided to make this trip to Seattle a bit different than our typical trips to the Emerald City.
First, we opted out of downtown and all the other main tourist attractions- Space Needle, Pike Place, etc. Not that they're not fun every time, it just wasn't feasible to bring the beast with us in that environment, and as we soon learned once we got there- she was not OK left alone in the hotel room.
Second, we really wanted to focus on the out doors as much as possible- because of Mazzy and the sheer beauty. It was mid 70's the whole time we were there and not a drop of rain was shed- absolutely divine!! I swear we're moving to Seattle once the girls are all gone and it's just us.
It was a great trip. We laughed and had a blast. It's so nice to just get away for a few days sometimes.

Once we got to Seattle we got settled adn then ran out to a local Mexican place for dinner.
The next day we started early with the best breakfast ever.. Maltby Cafe

After breakfast we decided to introduce Mazzy to the ocean for the first time. We opted for West Seattle hoping there would be fewer people. |
|
Not too bad people wise, but she was TERRIFIED of the ocean |
|
here I am trying to coax her in- no luck |
|
You can see in this picture her jumping back basically, she was afraid the wave was going to touch her paw. |

View from the car. It was gray in the morning, but always burned off by about 11 am to sunny skies |
