We miss our girls. A lot. They've all been gone for at least a week.
Rachel went to Europe with her mom and mom's boyfriend. They're gonna be over there for about 2 1/2 weeks. They're visiting all sorts of cool places and doing a very similar tour as what I did when I went back in 2010. Rachel is very fortunate to have this experience. Obviously Louis and I have no plans- AT ALL, of taking any of kids out of the country until they are at least 12. In my opinion it's too far away, too stressful, and frankly, too expensive to drag a child over there that is not going to remember the trip anyways. Also, when you take a child on a vacation you have to cater to them. You have to go at their pace, keep them entertained, etc, and when I'm on a big vacation like that, I want to be able to be on the go. I optimize my time and money, honey. BUT, like I already said, it is a good opportunity for her and we both hope she is having a good time and is able to appreciate the gift even just a little bit.
Bella and Zoe left last Thursday for a week long trip in San Diego with nana and papa. They rented a condo right on the beach, and are having the time of their little lives. It's Zoe's first plane ride and the first one Bella remembers, so they were totally stoked about that. They also took a taxi to the airport, nobody wants to get up at 5:30 to drop someone off and its easier to just have a taxi drop off and pick up than leaving your car just sitting there in an open lot, and believe it or not, it is one of the things they were the most excited about?? Little goof balls. So, anyways they've been down there for the past six days and have done all sorts of things: Sea World- not once, not twice, but three times?!?!?, Lego Land, surf lessons, San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, the list goes on. They finally come home tomorrow evening and I couldn't be more excited. Rachel will be coming home on Tuesday and we are all looking forward to that as well.
