Portland 2015: Day II- OMSI

On Saturday we took advantage of the many things Portland has to offer and cruised around sight seeing a little bit. Of course, what trip to Portland would be complete without a visit to OMSI.

OMSI or the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, is very similar to the Discovery Center here or the Pacific Science Center- all about science and technology and experiments, all totally hands on and just wonderful for the kiddos! I'm all about activities that not only keep them entertained and lets them get their little paws dirty, but also gives them some education as well! Double score!! :)

OMSI had some really cool attractions the other places didn't have, namely, a planetarium and submarine. It was really cool, and I was surprised with how much we all enjoyed the submarine tour....well worth it!
The girls hanging out outside OMSI, waiting for it to open. It is beautiful down there!

This is the Tilikmut (sp?) transportation bridge. No cars, pedestrians, bikes, MAX and buses. Its quite handy!

the USS Blue Back, the last diesel powered submarine built.

This piano had colors you could see as you played....some experiment thing showing the color of sound or something or other !
