After OMSI, we went back to the hotel, freshened up, played with the things they got from OMSI for a little bit and then we decided it was time to head downtown for a bit.
We took the MAX downtown, it is so nice to be somewhere with the 'subway' system. I didn't have to worry about parking downtown or wandering around in areas I shouldn't have been by myself with two little girls. We hopped on the MAX at the mall, took it downtown and it dropped us off literally like 1 block from voodoo doughnuts. Sweet! After doughnuts we walked over to Powell's bookstore and let them spend their money that nana gave them for the bookstore. Apparently Powells is one of CNNs 10 best bookstores- it is the largest new and used bookstore in the world I guess. After that it was time to hop back on the MAX and head back towards the hotel. We stopped back in the mall for one last minute little spree and some dinner and then it was back to the hotel to get the car loaded and all that kind of fun stuff.
We had a really good time and I'm excited to make this, at the very least, an annual tradition, if not biannual.

I got the 'cock-n-ball' doughnut. Yup, you read that right. As I'm sure you can see why it is called that, it's hidden surprise is the fact that it's cream filled..... |
