I finally broke down and bought my own stethoscope. I looked and looked and debated over which one I was going to get. We all use Littmann because they're really just the best in the industry, but I wasn't sure exactly which one to get. They have very basic ones all the way up to these crazy cardiac ones and all that. I opted for this simple little number...in SOLID black. I love it. No one has the solid black one. I was actually looking into some of the more expensive ones, but literally every nurse and provider I work with encouraged me not to get anything other than the basic littmann. One of our DO's actually said he refuses to work with a nurse who uses the 'fancy' ones. He says if you can't use a regular stethoscope to obtain a BP, you have no room being a nurse. I know I'm not a nurse, but I have to use this damn thing all the time. and at least wanna "look" like I know what I'm doing!! ;)
