So....Louis and I have a huge announcement to share with those of you who haven't heard the big news yet......
So...I'm about 3 weeks....
Nah just jokin'!!! HAHA, sorry couldn't resist. No mo' babies for me.....
No, really though. I quit my job. About one week ago. Louis and I have decided my awesomeness would be put to better use at home rather than at work. I hated my job anyways. No more medical field for me....ever. I'm done. I've been in medicine for the last 11 years of my life and that is plenty for me. If I ever do go back to work it will be somewhere like Starbucks, a couple hours a day.
Of course, it will come with a few changes, financially, but really not a ton. We can live exactly how we are now with absolutely no change of lifestyle or stress. I have created a budget so we can stick pretty close to the same saving schedule we've been on, but without a wedding to pay for and the tax advantage we get from filing married...it really is no different from where we were this time last year...with me working.
Plus, Louis gets pretty hefty yearly bonuses and raises, so that is always a plus as well. AND, without getting into it too much here (I'll save it for another post, :) ) his company was just bought by a HUGE company based in So Cal called Xylem. They deal in worldwide water and that kind of thing, but this acquisition has been nothing but positive for us and it looks like it has huge potential to bring some really great financial opportunities to Louis.
