The weekend of Thanksgiving we took the girls to the Festival of Trees. It is exactly what it sounds like- a festival full of Christmas trees. They have been doing it in Boise for about as long as I can remember. I have never been before, at least that I can remember. I have always wanted to go, and so this year we made it happen. It will probably be the one and only time we go.
Don't get me wrong, it was fun, the trees were beautiful and it was all festive and stuff, but it was just a mad house. Absolutely no organization, people coming every which way. You really couldn't even get close enough to the trees to really take a good look at them. Some people were going to the left, some to the right. Kids running amuck trying to do the scavenger hunt. Unfortunately, when you get people in close proximity like that everyone seems to lose sight of the fact that we live in a society. General rules of life you assume everyone should know, just get thrown out the window.
So, we will mark the Festival of Trees off the bucket list and move on to another fun holiday tradition!
Here are a few pics from our adventure!
