Wedding Day, Part I

Ok, so this is what I've been waiting for!  We are slowly getting the high resolution photo files from our wedding.  It has been exactly 2 months and I have been chomping at the bit to get the pics!!

We received the first drop of 55 files last night.  More expected today. But here is the first 25 of them....as you can tell there will be several follow ups to this post with all the pictures!

Our wedding day was October 22 , 2016- exactly one day after our 5 year anniversary! Should always be easy to remember! :)

The weather was beautiful! We could not have asked for a more perfect day.  In Idaho in October, especially the end of October, you can have anything from 70 degrees and sunny to freezing temperatures and snow.  I really wanted to have the ceremony outside- really playing off the fall colors and the reception inside.  Luckily, mother nature agreed with the plan and gave us a GORGEOUS day!

The guest list was small.  Right around 50 people, which is exactly what I was hoping for.  We sent out invites for 100 people, knowing good and well 30 of those 100 were not going to be able to come for one reason or another.  Then of course, life happens and people don't come for one reason or another- so about 50 is where it landed. :) We wanted them all t mingle, it was in a barn for gawd sake...there was no formal seating arrangements or ushers!

I'm not a huge fan of flowers, but really wanted to add a bit of color to the ceremony without yards of tulle.  I loved the sunflowers in mason jars and pumpkins.  It was exactly how I pictured it- quaint, simple and rusticly chic.

I loved the doors.  This was the entrance to the ceremony.  You walked through the doors, found a seat and waited for the show to start!

I couldn't believe the trees had as much green in them as they still did.  I thought they'd be changed quite a bit more for as late in the season as it was.

The lights and stuff draping the ceiling of the barn.  It was pretty, but it just came like this- we didn't do it.

These first ones are the first look.  She had him keep his eyes closed the whole time.  I wish that she would have had him open them for at least a few of them

probably on of my faves! :)

I loved the back of this dress
A few posed pictures in front of the doors and outdoor ceremony location.
