We decorated the house for Christmas last Saturday. I swore up and down that I was going to get a fake tree this year for several reasons, but, we bought a real one. Admittedly, it is the perfect little tree for our house. Our house is not very big, we live in a row house in Southeast Boise, and anyone that knows about the houses in this end of town, knows they are anything but large. So, we ended up with a little 6 foot tree. Once we finally settle down and buy a house in the next few years, I will put more thought into a fake tree. They are expensive and I want to make sure that I buy one that is going to be perfect for the location it will be in, and since I have no clue when or where that is going to be...it will wait until then.
We had Rachel for the weekend, so we threw on some Christmas tunes and got to decorating...and guess who showed back up- Rikki, yes, our little Elf on the Shelf has made her way back from her stay at the Northpole to watch the girls and tell Santa all of their bad behavior....make a list Rikki, make a list!! :)
Anyways, the decorations are up, the house smells like Christmas, the gifts are bought and hidden until Santa comes, and now all thats left is the Christmas cards, which will hopefully be soon, and the cookie and candy tins which will go out next Monday. All in all the Provost-Martin household is ready for the BIG day!
