Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast Casserole

OMG!! Holy yum is all I have to say.  While this is just a little time consuming the night before, it is a breeze in the morning, and let me tell you- dessert for breakfast...whats not to love!

Ingredients:
10-12 slices day old thick bread- challah, brioche, french, etc
12 oz cream cheese
2/3 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp lemon juice
10 eggs
3/4 c milk
3/4 c half and half
1/3 c maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 c sliced fresh strawberries

Directions:
grease 9x13 baking dish
beat cream cheese until light and fluffy
beat in sugar until combined
beat in 1 egg and lemon juice, set aside
whisk together 10 eggs, milk, 1/2 and 1/2, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. set aside
smear each piece of bread with cream cheese mixture
pile strawberries on half of bread and top with other half, making sandwiches
cut into cubes and place 2/3 of the cubes into greased baking dish
top with remaining strawberries and cream cheese mixture
then the est of the bread cubes
pour egg mixture over top
cover and refrigerate over night
remove from over and let rest on counter while you preheat oven to 350
cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes
remove foil and bake another 25-35 minutes or until firm and set
serve with syrup, whipped cream or more berries
