Christmas 2017: Part III- Winter Garden-a-Glow

The Wednesday before Christmas, the girls performed at the botanical gardens with their choir.  For those of you who aren't in the Boise area, during Christmas time, they decorate the botanical gardens with all sorts of lights and Christmas displays and call it Winter Garden-a-Glow.

This was the first time we've actually gone, because I don't love the cold, and going out and walking around in it has never sounded like my idea of a good time.  I'm so happy we were forced into going this year though, because it really is beautiful and if you just bundle up, you can totally make it at least an hour!! :)

Prior to heading to the gardens, we had an early Christmas dinner at my parents house.  They left the following day to go to Montana to spend Christmas with my step-brother and his family.  Unfortunately, my step-brother's mother passed away from lung cancer a few months back- so it was important for him to have some family close this holiday season.

Anyways, we had a wonderful prime rib with all the trimmings to go with it and the girls got to open their gift bags.  She had taken them to the mall the prior Sunday and let them shop till they dropped, but she wanted to give them a little something to open, and since Rachel didn't get to go to the mall with them, she got an envelope with cash in her Christmas bag.
