Christmas 2017: Post II- Choir Trip

Bella and Zoe both had the opportunity to skip out of school last Monday with their choir group to go around town singing Christmas carols.  I was invited to be a parent chaperone and couldn't have been more thrilled.  I love working with  these kiddos...they're all such good kids and just a pleasure to be  around!

We started our day off at Brookdale Assisted Living- it was pretty early, just after breakfast for many of them, so our crowd wasn't large, but we did have about 5-7 people there who joined in on the sing along fun!

Then it was off to the Veteran's Home.  Probably our largest turn out and they all seemed to enjoy it- both the kids and the residents.

After the Veteran's home, we made a stop at the capitol building and they sang on a stage set-up in the rotunda.  Very few people here, as it was just various choir groups coming and going all day.

Then, lunch! Flying Pie on Fairview was kind enough to host our large group and they rose to the occasion- the staff were  friendly and interactive with the kids, the service was good and the pizza was awesome!  Cheers to you Flying Pie!

Our last stop of the day was Valley View retirement center.  It was a pretty good turn out and the kids got cookies afterwards so this was probably their favorite stop!

You can see Bella too!! It was nice that she was right behind Zo, made it easy to take pictures. She has the little green and red antler head band on.
